Further information
The American singer and actor was originally from Sicily and his songs echo Italian melodies, often taken from classical music, hence the most beautiful opera arias on the programme. The eminent bel canto opera composer Vincenzo Bellini also came from Sicily, so the repertoire will feature his most famous arias. There will also be film music, alluding to the artist's not entirely proven contacts with the Sicilian mafia. On stage, opera singers (soprano and tenor) from the Italian association Opera da Camera di Roma, accompanied by a piano, will take the audience to the world of refined concerts from the nineteenth century, where classical music was for the audiences of the time as pop music is for today. The atmospheric concert hall of the Opera da Camera di Roma ( adress: Via Firenze, 38, 00184 Roma, RM, Italy) will resound with innovative and unique arrangements of Frank Sinatra's songs in opera and jazz style. The venue, with its historical soul, is reminiscent of the elegant salons of the aristocracy, but also of the opera houses of Rome, where the initiative to organise this concert originated. The intimate space and unique acoustic sounds are accessible to a small audience, due to a venue with incredible acoustics, but also a small number of seats.
